I’ve started using HootSuite for managing my social media stuff. I signed up for both work accounts and the stuff I’m doing for this site. It’s a tool that allows you to keep track of your social media campaigns, like what is going on with your Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn profiles, etc.
Here’s what I like about it:
- You can simultaneously post to all your networks at once, or just choose the ones you want. For example, if you want to post a status message about that awesome sandwich you had for lunch, you can just let that incredibly important information to your Twitter feed and on Facebook friends, without looking like a tool on LinkedIn. Or you can, but you probably shouldn’t.
- It has a nice interface where you can see all your messages and all the messages marked @you in seperate columns. This is good for me b/c I sometimes miss those.
- You can search for conversations by keyword in a really easy to use interface. I mean, you can in Twitter itself, too, but this is nice if you’re doing a lot of keyword research.
I still have to go through it in more depth but from what I’ve seen this looks very promising.
